The Family (nightlight)

It looks like a portrait of a mother and a child but it can also be an adult woman holding her inner child. In the end, it's one and the same thing.

I painted this piece durning one of my visits to my hometown Warsaw. It was a very special trip. I was reconnecting with the memories of my childhood through places, people and things. Those days I didn't talk too much. I felt the subtle company of the vibe of the little girl that I was once. She was a daydreamer always surrounded by her animal friends visible only to her magic eyes. The bear, the wolf and the fox were following her to all her adventures and making her feel safe in the darkness.

It's a negative nightlight version of the watercolour painting.

The print is made on the 200g acid-free original paper without optical brighteners and with PVC-free and FSC certificates. The 12-color pigment printing is characterized by faithful color reproduction, vivid colors, attention to detail in printing and high resistance - the ink manufacturer estimates their durability at about 90 years. It's the highest quality printing technique available on the market.

All the reproductions are printed on demand. We prepare them for your special order. It takes between 2 and 5 working days. We send them to you via courier from North Poland carefully wrapped with glassine paper and packed in robust mailing tubes.
